Tufteren

After about 90 minutes of walking, I got to Tufteren. Unfortunately, the sign to Tasch was covered over with this temporary sign that said the trail was closed due to a rock fall (I think). That was a bit of a blow because there aren’t many other places to go from Tufteren. It was far too early to head back to Zermatt, and I wasn’t going to Unterrothorn or Oberrothorn because a) it was a really long way, b) it’s very high and would be covered in snow (Oberrothhorn is apparently the highest peak in Europe that you can walk to without the assistance of a mountain guide). So Blauherd it was then.
