The trail I was following was the one to Wisshorn, although I didn’t think I’ve have the time to go all the way to the summit. In the distance there were magnificent views of the Gabelhorngletscher (I think).
I’d only been up here once before (last year) and it was very cloudy, so I didn’t get to see much of anything at all, apart from a helicopter that I almost inadvertently flagged down for assistance by adopting the “I need help” stance, which is coincidentally almost exactly the same as the “I’m trying to take a photo of your helicopter” stance. You live and learn.
