Lake

Judith hopped onto the cablecar at Arcabulle, while I decided to walk up to meet her. After a short while I passed the Lac de la Vallee de l’Arc. Despite being clearly man-made, it was also apparently stocked with fish as there were a few people fishing in it.

It took about an hour for me to reach the top of the Arcabulle cablecar, which is allegedly at an altitude of 2,600m (although my GPS indicated that it probably closer to 2,500m). It was a slightly more arduous walk than I was expecting due to large parts of the trail being covered by several feet of snow. Still I met up with Judith and we decided to get the Transarc cablecar over the ridge, down to Arc 1800 on the other side of the mountain.
