The final part of the journey required that we descend from the pass to the bottom of the valley, then drive up the other side to Les Arcs.
This photo was taken just outside La Rosiere and we could see Les Arcs in the distance on the other side of the valley. You can almost make it out right in the center of the photo. Even though Les Arcs was only about 4 miles away as the crow flies, according to the sat-nav, it was still a 29 mile drive that would take well over an hour!
