...until you peer over the edge and see the small, precious bit of flat land nestled against the shore some 1,500 feet below us. With the exception of the airport's runway, this is probably the largest bit of flat land we've seen in Madeira so far.
There's a cablecar to the bottom, but it's broken, so we can only admire the bit of flat land from our lofty perch.
