Across the valley, we get glimpses of the Aiguille du Midi between the clouds.
As I've been up and about for a while, the pain in my thighs is subsiding a bit. So I decide that it might be a great idea to walk the trifling 525m (1,722 feet) back down to Planpraz. According to the sign, it's only a 70 minute stroll. Judith doesn't share my enthusiasm and decides to get the cablecar back down and arranges to meet me in the restaurant near the cablecar station.
