Trummelbach Falls

Trummelbach Falls

On Friday morning, before we started the journey home, we stopped in at Trummelbach Falls, near Lauterbrunnen. I took lots of photos here, but none of them really captured how impressive the falls are. Most of the falls are now inside the mountain, having gradually cut into the rock over thousands of years. A lift takes you to the top, then you walk back down via a number of observation platforms. It's really very impressive and well worth a visit.

And that was pretty much it for Switzerland. From here we drove back to Luxembourg, where we stayed on Friday night. On Saturday we drove back to the UK via a sunny, winding route across France.

We had a really great time in Grindelwald, despite the relatively poor weather that denied us many of the views the area is famous for. I think we shall definitely be going there again, hopefully when the skies are clear.
