As you can see, it was still pretty cloudy and raining. Despite the fact that I saw practically no-one on my way up here (because I came up what is effectively the round-the-houses, back-door way), the Hutte itself was absolutely rammed. This was mainly because it’s a short and impressively scenic walk straight up the valley in the middle of the photo, from Edelweiss (where I was on Saturday). This was also the route I was about to take back down.
Due to the fact that the weather was miserable again, I took no photos on the way down (not that I could see much to take photos of, even if I’d been inclined). Which was a shame because it really is an impressive walk down.
A couple of hours later I was back at the hotel.
