Up at the view point, there was an excellent view of the sky and it was very, very dark. In fact I could only see to walk about by the light of my torch.
These star trails look a bit fragmented because of all of the cloud that was blowing past. It’s not a terribly good photo, but as I stood in the pitch dark in the freezing cold on a deserted mountain top for thirty minutes to take it, I thought it deserved inclusion if only for the effort it took to get it.
