Sunday - Our first proper full day on holiday. We were up early(ish) for breakfast and I was out for my first walk of the week. As the weather was so nice, I had decided to head straight for the Hornlihutte, which is probably just about visible in this photo, perched on the side of the Matterhorn.
Given that it’s the second toughest walk in Zermatt (in terms of the vertical distance to cover), I would have preferred to save it until later in the week, but the weather that high is very unpredictable, so it was preferable to make hay while the sun was literally shining.
