It was a lovely, clear evening as we drove from Calais to our overnight stop in Reims. As we drove south, I could see the Sun going down and was waiting for an explosion of colour due to all of the dust in the atmosphere, as had been described on the news. But it never appeared. I pulled into a service area to take this photo just before the Sun disappeared from view. As you can see, it was a nice sunset, but nothing particularly out of the ordinary.
