Just before Christmas, we spent a week at the Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa. This was sort of our unofficial honeymoon, even though it was five months after we got married (which was mainly because we went to Fuerteventura a fortnight before we got married, so didn’t feel an overwhelming need to go away again immediately after the wedding).
We flew home overnight on Christmas Eve and to this day it still ranks as the best flight I’ve ever been on (including the first class flights to and from Boston for work). That’s because the plane was almost empty and for the one and only time in my life, I fell asleep on a plane - across four seats near the back.
