We spend the morning walking on the sea front. In the afternoon we drive the short distance to La Rochelle. The town is really picturesque, but it's also really busy. There's some sort of event going on, so we end up driving around for half-an-hour looking for a parking space, but not finding one. We decide to go back to the hotel and come back first thing the following day when it will hopefully be quieter.
