Stavanger

Monday – Arriving in Stavanger, Arcadia is gently reversed into her berth. The thing about turning up to relatively small towns in a 183 foot tall cruise ship is that the decks are generally way higher than anything in town, so the best views of the surrounding area are generally from Arcadia itself. The white houses visible in the distance are part of Gamle Stavanger (Old Stavanger), which apparently contains the largest concentration of 18th century wooden houses in northern Europe.
