After not very long we found ourselves by the river (still the Tardoire I think). Whilst walking along the bank looking for a possible picnic site, we saw this swimming in the river. It was like a big rat, but about the size of a large cat. As far as we can tell, it’s a coypu. Evidently the locals weren’t too keen on them as we saw a lot of traps by the river.
