Saturday - We were on a lunchtime flight from Gatwick, which got us into Arrecife late in the afternoon. By the time we’d got through customs, been reunited with our bags, picked up the hire car (I have no idea why this still takes such an enormous amount of time) and got checked in to the wonderful Princesa Yaiza in Playa Blanca, the sun was fast approaching the scenic horizon.
