Volcan de San Antonio

Several hours later we found ourselves back in the more arid South. On the way back to the hotel we stopped in at the Volcan de San Antonio. There's a small visitor centre that shows a very interesting video about the volcanic history of La Palma and a short walk along the rim of the volcano's crater. This is view from the end of the trail, looking South. The peak in the distance on the right is the Volcan de Teneguia. That's the one that erupted in 1971. To its left you can just about make out the lighthouses and salt farm, right at the southern tip of the island.
