No near-death experiences on the French motorway on the way home and the Channel was pretty smooth too. Even had a very nice rump steak in the “posh” restaurant on the boat. But I must try to remember that a “medium” steak in France (it was a Sea France ferry) is the equivalent of a “warmed slightly over a small candle” steak at home. Still, I’m sure I read somewhere that there are loads of vitamins in fresh blood. Mmmm. Yummy.
