Wednesday - Judith's legs are still sore from our hiking exploits in Chamonix, so I take the opportunity to get up early and go for a walk on my own. Even with the walking-free transfer day yesterday, my legs are still suffering a bit from my earlier downhill hiking exploits, so I decide that it might be a good idea to hike uphill today. The cablecar station at Plattjen offers an enthusiastic-but-not-bonkers ascent of 770m (2,526 feet), whilst providing an opportunity to meet up with Judith at the top. This is a picture from the trail just outside of town. Because the trail is on the north face of Mittaghorn, it's still completely in the shade early in the morning.
