Highway 1a

Ordinarily I would have driven from Baker Creek back to Banff down highway 1a (which is the road that runs past the resort that Judith was standing on in the last photo). But as you can see from this photo, highway 1a still hadn’t been ploughed and was proving fairly challenging to drive on. I reckon the car was up to it, but I don’t have a massive amount of experience driving in these sort of conditions, so decided that the safest course of action would be to drive up to Castle Junction and then skip over onto highway 1. Highway 1 is the main trans-Canada highway and presumably where all of the snow ploughs were concentrating their efforts.
