When we were here last year, this was as far as the lakeside trail went. However, as there had been no new snow for several days, the trail appeared to be open all the way to the Plain of the Six Glaciers Tea House. However, it's quite a challenging walk in the summer, never mind the depths of winter, so we decided to give it a miss.
