Sunday - We'd only booked accommodation for the first three nights because we wanted to see what the weather was like before we committed ourselves to driving to Jasper. The weather was okay, but we decided to head to somewhere new instead - Golden in British Columbia.
We left Banff on highway 1 before detouring onto the much quieter and more scenic highway 1a. Here's our Yukon parked in a layby on highway 1a.
