We got a bit of a fright on our way back to Calgary when we got stuck in traffic on Trans-Canada Highway 1, about 30 miles from the airport. We only moved about a mile in an hour and were starting to get a serious sweat on that we might miss our plane completely.
Fortunately we’d left ourselves plenty of time to spare and still made it to the airport in time for a farewell pint of Rickard’s Red before we boarded our plane.
Given that we’d been here at this time of year twice in the past three years, we had a pretty good idea of what to expect when we got here this year. But we still had a superbly brilliant time that surpassed our expectations. We revisited three great hotels and discovered two more, saw loads of brilliant stuff and are already looking forward to visiting again.
