Saturday - One advantage of going to bed at about 7pm on Friday evening was that we were awake early on Saturday morning and at the Hertz desk to pick up our hire car shortly after they opened at 7am. This meant that it was still dark as we drove out of Calgary and we were well on our way into the mountains on highway 68 by the time the sun came up. This was a fabulous way to be welcomed back into the Rockies.
