Out front of the hotel, the view of the mountains and glaciers around Lake Louise is somewhat obscured. It's still fairly early though, so we decide to go for a walk down the relatively short trail to the far end of the lake. It's a round trip of 4km (about 2.5 miles), but it's flat (because it's by the lake shore) and the snow has been well trodden my many people today already, so the going is pretty easy.
