Chicken and Bread “Restaurant”

This is the Chicken and Bread “Restaurant” in Oostende, where we had lunch. I first visited this establishment in 1997, with Alan Blackmore at, as best I can work out, about 4:30am one Saturday morning. The “restaurant” is so called (by me) because the only item on their menu is a spit-roasted chicken served with a pile of bread. You don’t even get a knife and/or fork. And it’s magnificent.
