Brugge I think I’m getting addicted to Belgium. Is that possible? My last four trips abroad have been to Belgium. This time was for a day trip to Brugge with Judith and my parents. We were only there for about five hours, but we saw some good stuff, bought some beer, had a very nice meal and were extremely lucky with the weather (apart from nearly freezing to death).
Mum at the Beguinage My mum taking photos at the Beguinage. It’s nice to not be the only person taking photos and holding up progress for a change.
Beguinage A doorbell. Looked interesting, so I thought I’d take a photo of it.
Judith at the Beguinage
Beguinage Sloping trees at the Beguinage.
Minnewater The hotel on the Minnewater. Still don’t know what it’s called.
Fountain on t’Zand
Trees in Simon Stevin Plein We couldn’t see these the last time we were here because there was a Christmas market in this square.
Bhavani The other point of interest in the Simon Stevin Plein is obviously the Bhavani curry house. Mmmm. Sadly didn’t have the time to pay them a visit this time though.
Simon Stevin Plein
City Hall The City Hall as viewed through the Toyo Ito pavilion. The pavilion was closed the last time we were here.
Snap Happy Mum’s still snapping away.
Apocalyptic Knights Judith standing near one of the Four Apocalyptic Knights in Arents Courtyard. Perspective is making the Knight look much bigger than it actually is.
Church of Our Lady The tower of the Church of Our Lady, as seen from Arents Courtyard.
The Provincial Palace The Provincial Palace in the Market Square just before sunset.
The Belfry The Belfry as seen from St. Jakobstraat.
Lanes Walking in the lanes near St Gillis’ Church. No idea what they’re looking at.
Tired It’s been a long day. Time to head home.
