Thursday. The weather was looking a bit ropey today, so we thought we'd try the popular and relatively flat walk from Gross Scheidegg to the cable car station at First. We had to get a bus from Grindelwald 10km up a single track road to Gross Scheidegg, which was somewhat more exciting than I would have liked. When we got to Gross Scheidegg it was raining, freezing cold and blowing a gale. After a few hundred meters, we were sorely tempted to turn round and go back to the hotel. But we decided to stick with it.
